I grew up in the Southern Indiana area attending Sacred Heart Elementary School and then Providence High School. I graduated from Purdue University in 2004 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I received my Master’s Degree from IUS in 2013 while I was pregnant, a mom, and a full time teacher!
I have taught 6th grade at St. Anthony’s since 2007. I enjoy teaching math and science. I also enjoy incorporating projects in both subjects that broaden student’s understanding of certain concepts such as mouse trap cars, STEM projects, and real life math projects. I love teaching, and I feel that it is my calling in life. Helping students learn new things is my favorite thing about teaching! I have also been a part of the Student Council for many years.
I have been married since 2007 and have 2 boys, Jacob and Will. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, traveling, and sporting events (basketball and football) and am a die hard Friends fan. I like to cheer on the Louisville Cardinals and the Boilermakers!! A fun fact about me is that I've been to Alaska, twice and I took Portuguese in college.

My name is Emily Seay and I am thrilled to return to the classroom. I have four children and three of them have attended St. Anthony School throughout the years. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education from Indiana University in 2012. I was endorsed in the social science areas of history, psychology, sociology, geography, economics, and government. I have dual credit and AP certification in history and government. I also have dual credit certification in Introduction to Education.
I was a high school history teacher for 7 years at Shawe Memorial High School and Rock Creek Community Academy. In 2019 I started working for Indiana University and became the director for a new program called Indiana Kids. I developed and implemented free online and in-person tutoring sessions for all students in our local districts. During COVID I expanded the program and created free state-wide virtual tutoring for any student in the state of Indiana.
I continued this role until early 2022 when my youngest son was diagnosed with autism. I have stayed home with him until now due to the early years being critical to his academic development. Now that he can go to school full time, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to return to the classroom and continue doing what I truly love.
