I grew up in the Southern Indiana area attending Sacred Heart Elementary School and then Providence High School. I graduated from Purdue University in 2004 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I received my Master’s Degree from IUS in 2013 while I was pregnant, a mom, and a full time teacher!
I have been teaching 6th grade at St. Anthony’s since 2007. I enjoy teaching math and science. I also enjoy incorporating projects in both subjects that broaden student’s understanding of certain concepts such as mouse trap cars, STEM projects, and real life math projects. I love teaching, and I feel that it is my calling in life. Helping students learn new things is my favorite thing about teaching! I have also been a part of the Student Council for many years.
I have been married since 2007 and have 2 boys, Jacob and Will, both attending St. Anthony School. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, traveling, and sporting events (basketball and football) and am a die hard Friends fan. I like to cheer on the Louisville Cardinals and the Boilermakers!! A fun fact about me is that I've been to Alaska, twice and I took Portuguese in college.
