I want to give a shout out to the Providence Theater Department for their performance of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Many of our St. Anthony students performed in the show as Junior Cast Members. We also had many St. Anthony Alumni sharing their wonderful talents on stage. This was an amazing production and I am so proud of all of the cast and crew. I also want to give a big shout out to Ellen Holifield, Ron Breedlove, and all directors for a great show.

We continue to receive information from the IDOE, State Health Department, and the Archdiocese. With Spring Break approaching families may have questions about upcoming travel. The CDC has issued no official recommendations regarding domestic travel at this time. All travelers should practice general preventive measures. Regarding international travel, the CDC recommends avoiding nonessential travel to countries with a CDC level 2 or 3 health notice. Additionally, anyone returning from travel to countries with CDC level 2 or 3 health notice will be instructed to self-quarantine for 14 days. Additional information can be found on the CDC website. As a reminder it is important that we practice good health hygiene to prevent the spread of any illness, including viruses. Here are some steps recommended by the CDC to prevent the spread of germs that cause illness. • Do not panic. • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. • If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer. • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands. • Stay home when sick. • Cover your cough or sneeze. • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces. We are also regularly disinfecting “frequently touched objects and surfaces” at school and reminding students of good personal hygiene. Desk, door knobs, and light switches are wiped down daily.

In preparation for the potential impact from the COVID-19 virus, please know that we are in the process of planning for any impact this may have on the school. We will review our school safety plan and follow directives from the IDOE, Archdiocese, and the local health department. We will continue to discuss hygiene procedures at school and we encourage you to talk with your child about these procedures as well.
