St. Anthony School’s Open House for prospective families is coming up! On Sunday, February 4th, members of the Enrollment Committee and other volunteers will lead individual tours for students and their parents from 10:30 AM – 1:30 PM. Guests will meet teachers and staff, visit classrooms, learn about grade level curriculum, and receive admissions information, including details about tuition, SGO’s, and Indiana’s School Choice Scholarships. Help support SAS by passing along details about the Open House to friends, neighbors, and fellow parishioners with school-aged children. In accordance with our recruitment policy, you are eligible to receive a $200 tuition credit for each new family referral resulting in enrollment in grades K through 8. If that family enrolls at SAS, you will have $200 credited to your tuition account. (The new family must list your name as a referring family on their registration form and remain enrolled for a minimum of one semester. The $200 will be credited at the end of the new family’s first semester at SAS)

I would like to give a shout out to Mrs. Jennifer Kelly. The faculty nominated Mrs. Kelly for the Saint Theodore Guerin Excellence in Education Award given by the Archdiocese of Indianapolis. As a candidate for this award, Mrs. Kelly represents the best in Catholic Education, serves as a model of faith in action, holds high expectations, and has proven results of excellence in teaching and learning. We are pleased to announce that Mrs. Kelly is one of the top 5 finalists for this award. Mrs. Kelly will now move on to the interview phase of the award process. Congratulations to Mrs. Kelly and we wish you the best of luck.
February will be the last time that the school and parish will participate in the Aluminum Can Drive. The can drive has been a part of St. Anthony’s for many years. Unfortunately, the income from the can drive has decreased over time. The handling of the cans has become very tedious and unpleasant. I will be working with our School Commission to come up with a new monthly program that will benefit our school community. The last aluminum can drive will be the weekend of February 2nd-4th.
