We have been notified by the state that the cafeteria must now begin charging $3.50 for adult lunches. If you plan to eat lunch with your child, please call the office before 9:00 AM and make sure that you have the correct change. Remember, there can be no fast foods brought into the school.

Auditions for our spring musical Shrek Jr. will be September 6th from 2:45 PM - 5:00 PM. If your child is interested in being a part of our exciting productions, see Mrs. Doerr or Ms. Futter for audition forms. There is a sign-up sheet outside Ms. Futter’s classroom for your child to pick their audition time. Audition forms must be filled out when your child comes to their audition.

St. Anthony School is in need of a person who will chair this year’s Book Fair. It has tentatively been scheduled for September 26th-30th. This person will need to set up the Book Fair, be present during the hours that it is open, and then be responsible for tearing it down and making it available for Scholastic Book Company to pick it up. School Pictures will be taken on Thursday, August 25th and Friday, August 26th. Preschool, kindergarten and grades 1-4 will have pictures taken on Thursday, August 24th. Grades 5-6-7-8 will be Friday, August 25th. Money is due on or before the pictures are taken. Students may be out of uniform on the day that their picture is taken.

This weekend is the first Aluminum Can drive for the school year. Students who want to participate are asked to bring in 2 large bags of aluminum cans in exchange for being out of uniform on Monday, August 8th. Cans must be dropped off at the end of the annex in the recycle trailer over the weekend or first thing Monday morning. Remember, students must wear clothes that are appropriate for school. If students do not bring in bags of cans, they are expected to be in uniform.

This year we are going to allow all students to bring a snack in to eat during their classes. We ask that you send in a granola bar or a simple snack that will not cause a huge mess. We do not want anything that may leak or spill over the floor like fruit cups or jello. School will not provide snacks for children if they forget to bring one in.

This year we will enforce the rule that says once a school lunch account is $10 in the negative; students will not be allowed to buy a hot lunch in the cafeteria. They always have the option of bringing their lunch or else they will get peanut butter and crackers or cheese and crackers. We ask that you keep money in your child’s account.
