Lenten Journey

Today we begin our Lenten Season.  There is no better time to reconnect with or deepen one’s faith than Lent. During this time, we can draw closer to God as we prepare for the joyous celebration of Christ’s resurrection at Easter.  Lent is a more solemn time, a time to understand that God is always with us even in the most difficult times. During this season we fast, give alms, and focus on prayer.  Take the time this Lenten Season to reflect on how you can become closer to God and deepen your faith.

To everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: 

a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, 

and a time to pluck up what is planted;

a time to weep, and a time to laugh; 

a time to mourn, and a time to dance.
