It is essential for our school community to work together to prevent the introduction and spread of COVID-19 in the school environment and in the community. I am proud of all the support and dedication from families to make the start of this year a success. I also appreciate that families are being cautious, proactive, and making proper decisions to keep our school community safe and healthy. It is important that we keep communication open, if you ever have questions or concerns please feel free to contact me. If an issue arises outside of school hours, please contact me on my cell phone (812) 989-4200. Here are a few tips from the health department as we continue to work together to keep the school safe and healthy: • If a student is tested for COVID-19, please quarantine until results are received. It is also highly recommended and would be optimal for family members to quarantine as well. • Please notify school as soon as positive test results are received on a student. • If a person has been considered a close contact, then they must quarantine for a 14-day period since the date of last exposure.
