Academic Olympics
Congratulations to our St. Anthony School Academic Olympic teams who recently participated in a deanery wide competition at Providence High School. We were not able to have the competition last year due to Covid. We were excited to be a part of the competition and thankful to PHS for hosting this wonderful event. Academic Olympics is a quick recall competition. Teams practice for several months leading up to the competition.
Our 8th grade team, consisting of Lincoln Ellorimo, Chase Farris, Lola Fisher, Abby Hoyland, and Baylee Tucker went up against some fierce competition and just barely missed making it to the championship round. Our 7th grade team consisting of Lucia Bartley, Hannah Cano, Bryce Lopez, Emily Mendez, and Emily Zaragoza had a great competition. This was their first experience with Academic Olympics, and they are already making plans to come back strong next year. The 6th grade team members were Luke Bettler, Miles Conner, Grace Duggins, Jacob Dunbar, and Eliot Ross. The team came ready to play and brought back a 1st place. They are definitely ready for a repeat next year! A huge shout out to our coaches for dedicating their time to help our teams. Thanks to Sarah Dunbar, Emily Fisher, and Jennifer Kelly.
