19th Annual Value of Life Contest
Since its formation, Right to Life of Southern Indiana has been dedicated to developing principled and
passionate pro-life leaders among Southern Indiana’s students. Through direct involvement with many
community organizations, Right to Life of Southern Indiana has seen first hand the energetic and
exceptional leadership of pro-life students. It is more important than ever to teach our children and young
adults about the ‘Value of Life’. We want to empower our students to fight for the moral and
ethical state of our nation.
St. Anthony’s was very fortunate to have our 7th and 8th graders participate in the Value of Life Oratory and Essay Contest. Students had to research and write an original PRO-LIFE Essay on one of the following topics:
abortion, infanticide, euthanasia, stem cell research, the Supreme Court’s historic reversal of Roe
v. Wade, or the local resources that are available for women and babies in our area, such as
pregnancy help centers, Choices Life Resource Center, St. Elizabeth’s Maternity Home and Safe
Haven Baby Boxes. If they were part of the Oratory contest they also had to read their essay the night of the contest.
We are happy to announce that we had many winners in both the Essay and the Oratory Contest.
