On Wednesday, February 3rd, St. Anthony School held their second Scripp Spelling Bee Competition. What a great way to show school community during Catholic School Week! Our first, second, and third grade classrooms had a bee to determine the winners for the competition. Our classroom winners then competed to find the overall school winner. The entire school body enjoyed a lively spelling bee where for several rounds there were no missed words. Special thanks goes to Ann Whitworth who did a super job as pronouncer, and the judges Kara Garcia and Judge Jimmy Guilfoyle. I would also like to thank Mrs. Marabeth Thomas for being the coordinator of the Spelling Bee. Congratulations to our school winner, fourth grader, Jeremy Lopez. Jeremy will move on to the regional Scripp Spelling Bee. The runner up was eighth grader, Claire Reyes. Congratulations to the classroom winners: 1O Bryce Lopez, 5L Jackson Bettler, 1P Kramer Beyl, 5H Mark Nokes, 1P Ashton McKee, 6B Sadie Benjamin, 2H Chase Farris, 6D Jake Miller, 2H Lincoln Ellorimo, 7K Monica Nokes. 2R Pete Lannanb 7T Joseph Schansburg 3M Shayne Richards 8H Michael Mora 4C Charlotte Fisher 8H Claire Reyes 4C Jeremy Lopez
